The Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation (hereinafter – the Administrative Directorate) in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and other governmental bodies and state organizations carries out a set of measures to resolve existing problems related to federal property in foreign countries.
The Administrative Directorate continues to participate in the preparation and consideration of issues in this area within the frame of regular meetings of the intergovernmental commissions on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation with the Bulgarian, Vietnamese, Mongolian and Czech parties.
The most complex and topical issues are considered in the course of bilateral consultations on the expert level with the Bulgarian, Vietnamese, Indian, Iranian, Mongolian, Polish, Turkish and Czech parties.
The Administrative Directorate widely participates in the international agreements implementation at the highest level on the return objects belonging to the former Russian Empire of religious and cultural-historical value, as well as on the construction of religious and culture-significant objects.
The St. Nicholas Cathedral in Nice, the architectural complex "Compound of the Russian Orthodox Church in Bari" (Italy), Sergievskoe courtyard in Jerusalem (Israel), land plot in Jericho (Palestinian Authority) were returned to the Russian Federation ownership.
In 2011 and 2012, the construction of the Museum and Park Complex in Jericho, the Hospice House for Orthodox pilgrims on the Russian land plot at the Place of the Baptism of Jesus Christ on the Jordan River (Jordan), was carried out, respectively.
In 2016, on the Quai Branly in Paris, on a land plot owned by the Russian Federation, a spiritual and cultural center with an Orthodox church was built.
Search, restoration and registration of the Russian Federation property rights to previously owned foreign property is carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
