Employees of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Special Flight Squad "Russia", providing air transportation for the leaders of the country, received state awards. On behalf of the Head of State, the orders and medals were presented by Alexander Kolpakov, Head of the Administrative directorate of the President of the Russian Federation.
“February 9 in Russia is Civil Aviation Workers Day, so it is symbolic that the pilots, flight attendants, technical workers of the "Special Flight Squad "Russia" were awarded state awards on this day,” Alexander Kolpakov said.
State awards of the President of the Russian Federation were presented to 12 employees of the "Special Flight Squad "Russia".
For one of them – the honored military pilot Alexander Semenovich (January 14, 1953) – the daughter received the award. One of the best pilots of "Special Flight Squad "Russia", a helicopter pilot who mastered 15 types of them and had a flight time of 16,000 hours. He possessed excellent flight and methodological skills, theoretical knowledge, skillfully carried out educational work with the flight crew, passing on experience and skill. Alexander Semenovich died suddenly following an illness at the end of 2021.
