Head of the Administrative directorate of the President of the Russian Federation Alexander Kolpakov participated in opening of the cardiology emergency department with a cardiac intensive care unit at the Central Clinical Hospital with a polyclinic after a capital repair.
The department was created on the initiative of an outstanding cardiologist, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and honorary director of the National Medical Research Center of Cardiology of the Russian Ministry of Health Evgeny Chazov in 1975.
For the first time in the world, in this department, the thrombolysis procedure for ischemic stroke was performed. It was here that the history of heart diseases ultrasound diagnostics began, and many principles and medicines used in modern cardiology were first developed.
After a capital repair, two high-tech X-ray operating rooms were opened, the emergency cardiology department and the cardiac intensive care unit are now located on the same territory, providing multilevel just-in-time access for patients.
Patients can avail of:
- two new cardiology blocks and a single-bed high-comfort intensive care wards;
- multifunctional beds of the latest generation with weighing function;
- a modern system for vital signs monitoring in the intensive care unit;
- expert level echocardiography;
- heart support systems - counterpulsation and body temperature control for critically ill patients.
Also during the visit, after a large reconstruction, the Department of gynecology No. 1 was opened.
Women can receive all types of assistance – from expert-level laboratory diagnostics, surgical interventions, to radio and chemotherapy. The department's surgeons provide assistance to women at all stages of life - in the treatment and diagnosis of infertility, endometriosis surgery, unique operations on pregnant women.
All conditions for a comfortable stay have been created in the reconstructed departments: patients are accommodated in single and double wards.
